Is animal crossing hypnotizing?

The past few weeks my friends and I have been talking about how we used to play animal crossing a lot a long time ago. We all started sharing stories about time we would walk in our sleep, turn on the game cube and start playing in our sleep. Another one of my friends had dreams where all of the animals were coming to get her and they were chanting. We also read somewhere a few years ago BEFORE the wii ever came out that at the end of a KK slider song he chanted "meet you in wii world" in japanese. Has anybody else had weird experiences with Animal Crossing or heard of it being hypnotizing.
