Could my mother be the one turning everyone away from me by secretly calling them and slandering me?

I notice since I became friendly again with my mom, that I've lost a lot of other family members and even my doctor when he told me my mom wrote him nasty letter years ago, and my mom and I have been at odds for ten years, and suddenly she calls and wants to be friendly, then I noticed I'm sitting here depressed and all of a sudden family stopped calling, friends stopped and friends of my mom's stopped calling and ignore me now. Could my mom be so evil that she became friends with me then slandered me because of jealousy and old fights we had? It's so strange but I noticed right away. What gives here?
