Californians, how is it justifiable to increase taxes on Indian gaming?

Several propositions are raised in this upcoming election which deal with taxing Indian gaming. I do not understand how, as a Nation, we rob this land from it's indigenous inhabitants, build a country on slave labor, give American Indians the worst land as reservations, then turn around and tax the hell out of them for our benefit. How is this right?
