I need advice about taking my girlfriend to a horse race at Suffolk Downs. I know nothing about horseracing?

My girlfriend is a big horseracing fan. She used to live in Kentucky, and and has been to the derby, Churchill, ect. I want to bring her to Suffolk Downs, and would appreciate any advice on how to make it a fun event. Are there good "seats" available, or is it all general admission? When should you arrive? What else is there to do at the track besides the actually race?
