What surahs in the Quran exemplify Islamic terrorism and hatred?

I know it's pretty widespread that the Quran contains some violent material. A lot of Muslims real by claiming that it shouldn't be taken literally. But I've never actually seen these words in the Quran...so now I'm on a Quran translation website and want to know which surah exactly contains this material? As an atheist, I am asking other atheists who claim the Quran is evil, to cite those evil pages.
