If you have an A in one of your cles, do you, as in your school, need to take a final or midterm for it?

Im doing a study to find out if there are any high schools that don't make students with a's take finals or midterms in that cl. i think it is a good idea and is a great motivator. If you don't have to take the final or midterm, please name your school. Also, any possible links would be great. Thanks.
